Meet the Brainiacs.

Greetings! We’re Marie and Chris, the founders of Same Brain Creative. As partners in business (and in life!), we share a passion for all things digital marketing and creative. Rooted in the belief that relationships drive sales, we put the customer experience first. Your brand is our business and your customer is our benchmark. From the strategy we create to the designs we develop, every decision is made with your target audience in mind.

Same Brain Creative is a two-person marketing and web development studio based in Maine, working with small businesses, nonprofits and startups across New England and the United States. Marie leads marketing strategy, brand, UX and content; Chris leads web design, WordPress and Next.js development, integrations and technical SEO. One team from the first strategy conversation to launch and ongoing support.

Web development has been a passion for Chris since first learning HTML as a kid (way before AOL CDs!). After building a career in customer service + sales, helping clients solve their business problems, Chris made the leap from the corporate ladder to the freelance jungle – eager to share his skills with like-minded clients who put their customers first.

Helping clients of all sizes solve complex problems with simply architected solutions. Great fondness for tacos.

Marie Evans

Font Fanatic. Enthusiastic Oxford Comma Supporter. Champion of the Creative Process. After completing her Masters in Publishing from the University of the Arts – London, Marie moved back to Boston to pursue her passion for branded content. She has spent the last decade leading multi-channel marketing projects in the B2B and B2C space.

Bringing 10+ years of digital marketing expertise, a Master’s Degree in Branded Content, and a passion for creativity — let’s build something great.

Who will we actually work with?

Us. Marie on strategy, brand, UX and content; Chris on design systems, development, integrations and technical SEO. No account managers, no handoffs to a junior team.

What kinds of clients do you work with?

Small and mid-size businesses, nonprofits, healthcare and B2B SaaS, restaurants and retail — mostly in Maine and New England, often remote across the US. Projects from a brand refresh to a full website build, and retainers that keep both running.

Why a two-person studio instead of an agency?

Senior work at a fraction of agency overhead, decisions made in one conversation, and continuity: the people who plan the project are the people who build and maintain it.
